Populations are known from several high-gradient streams in a limited portion of the Wasatch Range within Salt Lake, Utah, and Wasatch counties.
Threats or limiting factors
Specific threats are unknown. One population, however, may be vulnerable to changes in aquatic habitat because it is in close proximity to a major interstate highway and some housing development.
