Species range
This species occurs in Utah in the Wasatch and Uinta Mountains, the Abajo Mountains, the La Sal Mountains, and the East Tavaputs Plateau (see map in Cox and Tanner 1995).
There are known occurrences in Salt Lake, Wasatch, Duchesne, Uintah, Utah, Carbon, Grand, and San Juan counties.
Habitat
Populations occur in montane habitats, being encountered most frequently in mountain riparian assemblages associated with mixed conifer, conifer-deciduous, and subalpine forests (Cox and Tanner 1995), although meadows, grasslands, and wetlands may also be inhabited (Schwinn and Minden 1980).
Threats or limiting factors
Threats to this species in Utah are not known but probably are few.
