Phenology

This plant flowers between June and September. 

Species range

This plant is found in Northern Mohave County, Arizona, it is a local endemic, in northwest Arizona between Colorado City and Mount Trumbull, Mohave County. The plant has since been found in Washington County, Utah near the border with Arizona.

Threats or limiting factors

Grazing related impacts were noted during 2018 Utah Natural Heritage Program field visit (URPD, 2023). Drought may also be impacting this species throughout it's range.

Animals having 3 pair of legs, 3 body sections, generally 1 or 2 pair of wings, 1 pair of antennae.

Soft bodied animals with an internal or external shell and a toothed tongue or radula. Have a mantle that lines and secretes the shell and a muscular foot that allows for movement.

Two hinged lateral shells and a wedged shaped "foot". Bivalves lack tentacles and a head.
