Species range
This species is known only from near the summit of Brian Head Peak in Iron County, to which locality it is strictly endemic. Local distribution on Brian Head is being reported by Oliver and Bosworth (submitted).
Habitat
The only locality known for this species is a rock slide on the southwest slope of a mountain; the site is above timber line at an elevation of approximately 11,000 ft (Gregg 1941). Detailed habitat information is being reported by Oliver and Bosworth (submitted).
Threats or limiting factors
This species occurs as a single, localized population, and, as such, it is susceptible to catastrophic events. Development is also a threat in this area because a ski resort is located in the immediate vicinity. Potential threats to this species are discussed by Oliver and Bosworth (submitted).
