Threats or limiting factors
Threats are unknown because all but one observation is historic.
There is one occurrence of Astragalus argophyllus var. argophyllus recorded in Utah within the last 40 years, and the potential threats to this species is grazing and potential road interactions. The occurrence is within the reported boundaries of a cattle grazing allotment, although actual cattle interactions with this area and species is unknown. The occurrence is also near a Utah road, although it is not a major road, and potential impacts from road use on this occurrence is unknown. Drought and climate change is also a threat and likely impacting this species through out it's range (Wrobleski, 2023).
