Species range
Known populations occur in the Bonneville Basin and Virgin River Basin. Although the species is relatively widespread, the area of occupancy is a small portion of these regions; western Utah is a notably arid region, with limited and unevenly distributed aquatic habitats.
Habitat
Musser (1962) found nymphs to inhabit rheocrene and limnocrene habitats (i.e., streams and pools associated with springs).
Threats or limiting factors
Specific threats are not known, but degradation of water quality and aquatic habitats has been pervasive.
