Potentilla holmgrenii is distinguished by its forward facing lateral leaflets and teeth, which are also thicker and more densely hairy than the similar P. nivea.
Species range
Potentilla holmgrenii is found in the Schell Creek and Snake ranges in eastern Nevada and the adjacent Deep Creek Range in Utah.
