The main threats to this species are from grazing, climate change, and potential human impacts. One of the occurrences falls within the boundaries of reported mountain goat habitat, although actual impacts mountain goats have on this occurrence which grows in grassy meadows and edges of woods are likely moderate to low. One of the occurrences is in an established grazing allotment. One occurrence is on or near an established hiking trail where it may be impacted by trampling. Ongoing drought in Utah may also be impacting this species.
