Species range
Known only from Chad's Ranch along Santa Clara Creek, near Veyo, Washington County.
Habitat
Virtually nothing is known about this species, except that Chaetarthria usually live in sand burrows at stream margins. The burrows are usually found in quiet water areas with little silt and no mud (Miller 1974).
Ecology
C. utahensis and the lighter colored C. hespera are sympatric. The beetles generally inhabit their burrows during the day and emerge at night (Miller 1974).
