Species range
Hasenyager (1980) had records of this species in eight counties: Wayne, Washington, Kane, Garfield, Uintah, Emery, Grand, and Box Elder. Hasenyager's (1980) mapped localities are scattered in a band across the state from southwestern (Washington County) to northeastern (Uintah County) Utah, the only exception being a single locality, based on one individual, in north-central Utah (Bear River Refuge, Box Elder County). Both Hall (1981) and Zeveloff (1988) in their shaded distribution maps repeated this pattern of a southwest-northeast band of occurrence across the state, with the species being absent from the northwestern half of Utah and part of the southeastern corner (parts of San Juan and Grand counties).
Threats or limiting factors
Threats in Utah not known. Pesticide use and loss of habitat (e.g., riparian) may be important threats.
