Deer illegally killed in Sevier and Millard Counties

Conservation officers with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources recently investigated two deer poaching incidents in central Utah and need the public's help in locating those responsible.

Officers seek poacher who decapitated and wasted buck deer

On Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, a headless buck deer carcass was discovered in a cultivated field, approximately 2.5 miles below Lost Creek Reservoir. Conservation officers investigated the scene and are now offering a reward for information that leads to the successful prosecution of the poacher.

Theft of guzzler apron in Uintah County

On August 16, 2018, wildlife officials were notified of the theft of a guzzler apron (metal that aids in the capture of water). The guzzler is located near the Bonanza area, west of the 7 Sisters road, in Uintah County.
