Digital duck stamp update

Waterfowl hunters 16 years old or older must have a current federal migratory bird hunting and conservation stamp, also called a duck stamp. New in 2024, your electronic duck stamp is valid for the entire season. E-stamps are available through our license sales site, and are valid from the date of purchase through June 30.

After purchasing, you can simply download the e-stamp with your other licenses in the DWR mobile app. You may also print and sign the receipt copy if you do not use the app. If you purchase an e-stamp, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will mail you a physical commemorative duck stamp after March 15 (expected delivery May 10–June 30). The DWR does not fulfill or distribute these commemorative stamp orders.

If you prefer to purchase a physical duck stamp for the waterfowl hunting season, they are available at your local post office, some license agents or by phone at 800-782-6724. Note: Duck stamps are not available at Division offices. After you buy a physical duck stamp, you must validate it by signing your name in ink across the face of the stamp and you must carry your stamp with you while you’re hunting.
