All I want for Christmas…

HOLIDAY MOVIES provide us with many memorable one-liners:

  • “Every time a bell rings, an angel gets its wings.”  — It’s a Wonderful Life
  • “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.”  — Elf
  • “You’ll shoot your eye out.”  — A Christmas Story

My favorite quote by far is nestled snugly within Christmas Vacation. You know the one I’m talking about: when cousin Eddie points out the bright side of the disappointing jelly-of-the-month club Christmas bonus by saying, “…that’s the gift that keeps on giving!”

Now, I enjoy a good marmalade as much as the next person, but if you’re looking for a gift that surpasses jams and jellies, a Utah fishing license is just what you need. For only $26, you can give those special people on your list a fishing license. It is a one-size-fits-all solution to your gift-giving needs. And, you don’t have to run all over town to get your shopping done! Just visit wildlife.utah.gov and click “Buy fishing licenses” on the right side of the page.

I’ll even hook you up (pun intended) with a fancy “Fishing Trip Coupon” that you can put with your loved one’s license!

  • We got them for the whole family last year and it was the best present of all. It didn't get thrown away after a week either. With all the video game playing and "stay inside" excuses this was a good way to get them all outside again.

  • Interesting, never thought about giving away a fishing license for Christmas, but I know some serious fishermen that would enjoy a gift like this. Plus I get hooked up with a coupon.
