Who must take the course?

You are required to complete the course if you plan to do any one of the following activities:

Exam and certificate of completion

The online orientation course includes an exam. To successfully complete the course and obtain a certificate of completion, you must score at least 75% on the exam.

Once you have a certificate of completion — which is valid for three calendar years — you can obtain a herpetology collection permit (available online for $10 and valid for 365 days) or you can apply for a certificate of registration.
