Monument Valley, located in the Navajo Nation

Available July 30 – Aug. 1, 2025

The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources will be selling 250 Southeastern Region and 20 Southern Region buck deer permits from July 30 to Aug. 1. Permits will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis (until sold out) for the following Navajo Nation chapters:

  • Aneth
  • Dennehotso
  • Kayenta
  • Mexican Water
  • Navajo Mountain
  • Oljato
  • Red Mesa
  • Shonto
  • Teec Nos Pos

Please have your proof of hunter education (if you were born after Dec. 31, 1965). If you drew out for a Utah buck deer permit through the big game drawing, you will not be allowed to purchase another deer permit.

Please note: if you applied for a buck deer permit during the application period and were unsuccessful and then you purchase a buck deer permit from the Navajo sales, you will lose all of the preference points you have accrued. You may purchase one deer permit for yourself and one deer permit for someone else.
