Officers seeking information about poached bald eagle

This bald eagle was shot and killed in Piute County. If you have information related to this crime, please contact the UTiP hotline at 1-800-662-3337.

PIUTE COUNTY — Officers with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources and United States Fish and Wildlife Service are seeking the public's assistance in the investigation of a poached bald eagle.

The eagle was shot in early January 2013. The carcass was found concealed in a hollowed out tree along the Old Church Farm Road that connects the communities of Junction and Kingston.

If you have any information about this incident, please call the UTiP hotline at 1-800-662-3337. A monetary reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. Requests for confidentiality will be honored.
