What to do if you encounter a mountain lion in Utah

While cougar attacks are quite rare in the U.S., there is always the chance you may see a cougar on your doorbell camera footage or while you are out hiking this summer. If you do happen to encounter a cougar, there are a few simple steps you can take to keep yourself safe.

DWR makes changes at Weber River tubing spot

To help manage tubing at the Henefer-Echo Angler Access Wildlife Management Area, the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources has entered into an agreement with a private concessionaire to manage the WMA on weekends and holidays from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend.

Public invited to compete in annual Youth Hunter Education Challenge

The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources is hosting the 39th annual Youth Hunter Education Challenge next month in Logan and is inviting anyone who has completed Hunter Education to register and compete in this exciting event.
