The DWR and The Peregrine Fund are once again asking hunters in the Zion hunting unit to stop at a check station this month where they can demonstrate their efforts to help birds of prey, including critically endangered California condors, and also enter to win a prize.
While they are prepared with decoys, dogs and ammunition, some geese and duck hunters may not be as prepared to recognize and avoid harmful algal blooms and mats on some Utah waterbodies.
