Marksmanship Begins With a .22

Want to learn how to target shoot with your .22 rifle? Join us on Saturday, Oct 25th, and learn the basics of rifle marksmanship. More... This free clinic is designed to prepare you for target shooting or hunting with a rifle. The class includes instruction in the classroom and plenty of hands-on practice time at the shooting range. W hat to expect: During the classroom portion of the clinic, we will discuss firearm safety, sighting procedures. We will then go over the best ways to consistently "punch holes" in your target. At the shooting range, we will conduct a range safety briefing, verify sight-in, and have range time on paper targets. Things to remember: This event is open to all participants who are 12 years of age and older. (Youth who are 12–16 years old must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event.) You may bring your own .22 rifle w/scope and the correct ammunition (no hyper-velocity ammunition). If you dont have your own .22 rifle, we have a limited amount to loan out to participants. Bring eye and ear protection. You may purchase some at the event if you would like, but there will not be any available for free use. Dress comfortably. We have an outdoor range, so please dress appropriately for the weather. All participants must fill out an event waiver when signing up.
