An auction will be held later in March to sell hundreds of antlers and furs that Utah Department of Natural Resources law enforcement officers have seized during poaching investigations, or otherwise obtained possession of, during the past three years.

Utah Department of Natural Resources law enforcement officers are seeking information from the public after several raptor species, including hawks and owls, were illegally killed in southern Utah over the last several months.

Gov. Spencer J. Cox administered the oath of office to 140 officers in the newly created Utah Department of Natural Resources Division of Law Enforcement during a ceremony Monday morning, Jan. 13 at the Capitol Rotunda.

Utah Department of Natural Resources law enforcement officers are seeking information from the public after a buck deer was illegally shot and killed within the city limits of Monticello in January 2025.

A total of 1,007 wild animals and fish were illegally killed and investigated by Utah Division of Law Enforcement conservation officers in Utah in 2024, a slight decrease from the number illegally killed in 2023.
