A summary of the different rules in Utah and Wyoming

The Utah Wildlife Board approved regulations changes applying to the Utah side of this waterbody — which in most cases will align with Wyoming — that will go into effect on Jan. 1, 2025. Through Dec. 31, 2024 anglers should continue to consult the 2024 Utah Fishing Guidebook when fishing in Utah's portion of Flaming Gorge.

The following tables summarize the different fishing regulations in the Utah and Wyoming portions of Flaming Gorge, as of Oct. 1, 2024. Regulations that are identical are not shown.

*Utah reciprocal fishing permits are available online and from authorized license agents and Division offices.

Wyoming reciprocal fishing permits and fishing licenses are available online or by calling the Wyoming Game and Fish Department at 307-777-4600.
