Reward offered for information on a poached deer in Millard County

MILLARD COUNTY — On March 12, 2013, Utah Division of Wildlife Resources Officer Kody Jones received information regarding a poached deer east of Holden, Utah. The deer was part of a study being conducted by Brigham Young University and the Utah Division of Wildlife. The deer had recently been relocated to Wide Canyon above Holden from the Parowan front with funds provided by Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife.

It was determined that the deer had been shot and left to waste. The deer was killed over the weekend of March 9 and 10, 2013. There are no suspects at this time.

Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife has offered a reward of up to $5,000 to anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible.
