The event is free and the general public is invited to participate. The DWR will provide rods, reels and bait for those who don't have their own.
At noon, a raffle will be held, and all kids under 14 will receive a prize of some kind of fishing tackle, which may be a brand new rod and reel.
The pond will be freshly stocked with 8-inch rainbow trout prior to the event to give the kids as much fishing excitement as possible.
