How to get your walk-in access authorization number
If you are 14 years of age or older, you must obtain a free walk-in access authorization number to access walk-in access properties.
You can register for your authorization number online using your customer ID number.
Walk-in access authorization numbers are listed under the categories "Other," "Fishing" or "Small Game." An authorization number is valid from January 1 to December 31 in the calendar year in which you register.
After you register, you'll receive an email that contains a certificate with your authorization number. You should print out the certificate and carry it with you in the field. You can be asked to leave a walk-in access property—and could receive a citation for trespass—if you can't provide your number.
You may receive an invitation to a walk-in access survey at the end of the year. Please participate in the survey. Your answers will help determine the value and future direction of the program.
