An "extreme makeover" is happening at Jordanelle Reservoir. The latest installment happened Aug. 25, when Division of Wildlife Resources fish hatchery personnel and biologists placed 25,000 two-inch wipers in the reservoir southeast of Park City.

You can download a copy of the free 2016–2017 Utah Waterfowl Guidebook on our website. Copies are also available from Division of Wildlife Resources offices and businesses that sell Utah hunting licenses.

Kirk Smith, Hunter Education coordinator for the Division of Wildlife Resources, says every year, he receives reports of archery hunters injuring themselves. Columbia spotted frogs, cross snaggletooth and American pika are just some of the lesser-known wildlife species in Utah that will receive help through the state's new wildlife action plan. Some familiar species, including Bonneville cutthroat trout and bighorn sheep, will receive help too.

Biologists with the Division of Wildlife Resources have good news to report: after two nights of electroshocking and using gill nets to capture fish in Red Fleet Reservoir, fish stocked in the reservoir over the past several months are doing well.
