DWR officers are seeking information about this bull moose that was unlawfully killed on Mt. Aire sometime between Nov. 15 and Nov. 22, 2017.

SALT LAKE COUNTY — On Nov. 22, 2017, a concerned hunter called the Utah Turn-in-a-Poacher (UTIP) hotline to report a moose carcass he found while elk hunting in the Mt. Aire area, near Lamb's Canyon. There were no legal moose hunts open in the area at the time.

DWR officers investigated the scene and believe the bull moose was killed between Nov. 15 and Nov. 22. The moose was partially skinned, the antlers were removed and the meat was left to waste.

DWR officers are seeking any information about the illegal killing of this moose. If you saw a hunter walking out of this area in possession of moose antlers, or if you have any information about this incident, please contact the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources.
