Diamond Fork River

Latest fishing report

Snowplows are working to maintain winter access to the seasonal locked gate at the Hot Springs trailhead. Angler pressure and fish catch rates are low. If you're fly-fishing, try using midge larva (#20–#22), sow bugs, egg patterns, blue-winged olives and San Juan worms. Rod guides and tips will freeze, so you may want to consider using a de-icing product. If you're spincasting with lures, try small metallic spinners or spoons. Cast upstream of the deeper sections and retrieve the lure slowly. You'll find the best fishing in the morning and mid-day hours. (Last update 02-20-19)
