Spring Lake

Latest fishing report

Many of the community ponds are experiencing something known as the summer doldrum where seasonal conditions (including high pH/temperatures) prevent the pond from being stocked. During these doldrums, you can expect fishing to slow down significantly until late August or early September or when conditions improve. Anglers have been catching 18- to 20-inch channel catfish and wipers. For catfish, try using Magic Bait Catfish Bait, chicken livers encased in nude colored nylon or shrimp. For wipers, try using a neon colored 1/16 ounce jighead with a curly tail grub. (Last update 08-09-18)
