General information

This day-use access point provides anglers with access to deep runs and some braided channels. No amenities are present on site. A stile is provided to allow for easy fence crossing.


This access point is located approximately 2.5 miles downstream from the Starvation Reservoir Dam. The UTM coordinates for this access point are 549,571 meters east and 4,446,726 meters north. Decimal degree coordinates for this location are -110.41782 longitude and 40.1694388 latitude.


From the I-80/US 40 junction, travel east on US 40, through the towns of Heber and Fruitland, for roughly 84.9 miles. Turn left onto SR 311 and travel north for 0.5 miles to reach this access point. Angler access pull-out is located on the west side of SR 311.


This area of Strawberry River ranges in width from 20 to 35 feet.


Depths range from 3 to 5 feet in pools and run habitats.
