Brine shrimp harvester update

Dear Brine Shrimp Harvester

A sampling run on the south arm of Great Salt Lake was conducted on January 16, 2018. The enumeration and analysis have been completed. All presented values are per liter of lake water.

The cumulative harvest poundage totals through harvest day January 16, 2018 are:

The 2017-2018 brine shrimp harvest season in the South Arm (lake and shore) will officially be closed on January 18, 2018 at 5:28 pm MST (official sunset) pursuant to Rule R657-52-12. Harvest may continue on the North Arm (lake and shore) until January 31, 2018 at 5:44 pm MST (official sunset) but must still be reported to the UDWR in the same manner as during the regular season. Harvest may continue on the salt ponds but must still be reported to the UDWR in the same manner as during the regular season.

**Please remember to remove all debris and trash from the shore and lake resulting from harvesting activity.
