Potentilla holmgrenii or Holmgren’s cinquefoil is an alpine cushion plant found only in the Schell Creek and Snake ranges in Nevada and the Deep Creek range in Utah along wind-swept ridges and rocky slopes between 3300 and 4500 meters (10800-14800 ft) elevations. The yellow flowers of this species can be spotted in the summertime.

Potentilla holmgrenii or Holmgren’s cinquefoil is an alpine cushion plant found only in the Schell Creek and Snake ranges in Nevada and the Deep Creek range in Utah along wind-swept ridges and rocky slopes between 3300 and 4500 meters (10800-14800 ft) elevations. The yellow flowers of this species can be spotted in the summertime.

Potentilla holmgrenii is distinguished by its forward facing lateral leaflets and teeth, which are also thicker and more densely hairy than the similar P. nivea.
