Packera musiniensis is a Utah endemic species found in Sanpete County. It grows on ridge tops of the Tertiary Flagstaff Limestone barrens, talus slopes of the Musinea Peak, and margins of the Wasatch Plateau between 9,700 and 10,820 feet elevation. This species has yellow eradiate or minimally radiate flower heads and leaves pinnatifid with dense tomentum. It may be found flowering July through September. Only four collection-based occurrences have been mapped for this species, three of which are believed to be remaining.
Description

Diagnostic characteristics
Packera musiniensis is similar to P. multilobatus and P. cana by its pinnatifid leaves and dense tomentum, respectively. However, Packera musiniensis differs in having sobols and eradiate or sparingly radiate heads.
Species range
Endemic to the Colorado Plateau in Sanpete County, Utah (central): Musinea Peak and margins of the Wasatch Plateau near its southern end.
