Musineon lineare is a yellow or white flowering species in the Parsley family that can be seen dotting the cliff faces along high elevation areas in north Utah. This endemic plant grows in a unique habitat, with other endemic species, including Erigeron cronquistii, and Penstemon compactus, Viola franksmithii. Rock climbers should take care not to disturb this rare species on the popular climbing routes of limestone and dolomite cliffs where it is known to occur.

Musineon lineare flowers between April and August.
Diagnostic characteristics
Musineon lineare can be distinguished from Musineon naomensis, a related species with an overlapping range. Musineon lineare has yellow flowers and smaller bractlets.

Occurs in the Bear River Range, Cache County, Utah and in the vicinity of Paris Peak, Bear Lake County, Idaho.
