Mentzelia memorabilis is known from Washington County, Utah and Mojave County, Arizona where it is found on the Uinkaret Plateaut. This species grows on barren gypsum-clay outcrops and on the tops of hills. September 11 Stickleaf is an upright bushlike plant with golden yellow flowers that also have golden yellow stamens which burst into bloom over a long summertime flowering season that is celebrated across the top of this plant. The hooked hairs across the leaves of this plant give the plant sticky surfaces and the common name Stickleaf.
Description

This plant flowers between June and September.

Species range
This plant is found in Northern Mohave County, Arizona, it is a local endemic, in northwest Arizona between Colorado City and Mount Trumbull, Mohave County. The plant has since been found in Washington County, Utah near the border with Arizona.
Threats or limiting factors
Grazing related impacts were noted during 2018 Utah Natural Heritage Program field visit (URPD, 2023). Drought may also be impacting this species throughout it's range.
