Mule Deer Management Plan Committee

Buck deer with large antlers surrounded by shrubs

In February 2024, the DWR assembled a statewide Mule Deer Management Plan Committee, comprised of representatives from a variety of stakeholder groups, to provide input on mule deer management in Utah. The committee will meet regularly for several months and discuss a wide variety of topics. The committee's final meeting will be on June 20, 2024.

The DWR will take recommendations from this committee into consideration as we draft a revised statewide Mule Deer Management Plan. The revised Mule Deer Plan will be presented to the Regional Advisory Councils and Utah Wildlife Board during the November/December 2024 meetings. Public feedback on the proposed plan will be collected online and in person in November and December.
