2009 waterfowl hunt opener conditions

Water conditions are below normal hunt levels for the youth hunt due to a hot and dry July and August. Levels should be normal by the general opener.

Bird numbers are fair and will decrease following the season opener. Mallard, pintail, green-winged teal, gadwall and cinnamon teal are the primary birds present. There are numerous Canada geese.

Gates will be open on September 17, 2009

Camping is allowed, but there are no facilities available. Fires are the responsibility of the camper.
