South Cache property

Directions: This hunting property is located 11 miles east of Hyrum in Blacksmith Fork Canyon. To reach the properties, from the intersection of Main Street and 200 West in Hyrum, drive 11.4 miles east on Cache National Forest Road to the parking area and registration box.

Standard rules:

  • All hunters must sign in and out
  • Park in the designated area
  • Do not drive off the roads
  • Do not drive past the parking area
  • Please pick up all trash (even if it's not yours)
  • Please respect this private property
  • No shooting within 600 feet of buildings, houses or machinery

Special rules:

  • Everyone entering the property must register
  • The trail from the bottom of North Cottonwood Canyon to the top of the drainage and to Pole Hollow is open to vehicles from approximately April 15 to September 15 each year

When opened: Between August 16 and the following February 28 and April 15 and May 30 for the years 2008, 2009 and 2010

Hunters may harvest: Mule deer, Rocky Mountain elk, moose, cougar, wild turkey, cotton–tailed rabbit, chukar partridge, blue grouse, ruffed grouse, coyote and bobcat
