  A cooperative effort between state, provincial, and federal agencies to prevent the westward spread of zebra mussels and other aquatic nuisance species in North America.

  A site for recreational users who want to help stop aquatic nuisance species.

Government

• ANS Task Force
  The coordinating body in developing and implementing the national program for prevention, research, monitoring and control of infestations of nonindigenous aquatic species.

• National Agriculture Library
  The Department of Agriculture's section on invasive species. It is a loosely organized section of news articles and some documents.

• Nonindigenous Aquatic Species (NAS) information resource
  The US Geological Survey's site on zebra and quagga mussels. This site contains information on many other nonindigenous aquatic species.

• Zebra Mussel Resarch Program
  Developed by the US Army Corps of Engineers. This is an excellent resource for research on identification, life history and biology, distribution, slowing the spread, impacts and risk assessment, monitoring, management and control and bioaccumulation.
