The Sage Valley Outfitters CWMU is south of Snowville in northwest Utah. The elevation ranges from about 6200 feet on the eastside to 4600 feet on the westside, difference of 1500 feet. All steam channels are intermitten and much of the water is collected in Sage Valley.
Over 45% of the Sage Valley Outfitters CWMU is Agriculture (114) land. This Agriculture land is on the westside extending to the middle. Great Basins Pinyon Juniper Woodland (37) is the next dominant ecological system at 21%. It is more on the eastside of the CWMU. Mixed with this Woodland is Inter-Mountain Basins Big Sagebrush Shrubland (18%). Running close to the Agriculture throughout the unit is Invasive Annual Grassland (121) at 8%.
