Enjoy waterfowl and want to work on projects that will benefit the waterfowl management areas? Listed below are projects available on Salt Creek, Public Shooting Grounds and Locomotive Springs WMA's. Volunteers are responsible for their own lunch, drinking water and gloves when needed.

These projects are available Monday through Thursday's.

  • Form and pour concrete pad with drain for fuel tank at headquarters
  • Fence line repair West Bear River Bay Access, two people and ATV machines preferred
  • Fence line repair Salt Creek WMA, two people and ATV machines preferred
  • Fence line repair Public Shooting Grounds, two people and ATV machines preferred
  • Route lettering for signs and paint (small 18"x12" 2x4 material)
  • Ditch cleaning backhoe or excavator required
  • Assist with herbicide application mid-April to end of May, as a passenger in a track machine Monday-Thursday's
  • Paint wood signs
  • Certified survey of partial boundary on NPSGWMA
  • Repair and replace signs and sign posts on SCWMA and PSGWMA
  • Construct 2” PVC irrigation system for tree rows, material already here
  • Prep and paint metal farm equipment and trailers
  • Pack trailer bearings and check trailer wiring harness
  • Cut apart old trailers and equipment with oxygen/acetylene torch, we have torch
