Tree cutting in designated locations to help improve mule deer winter range.
Volunteers will need to fill out and sign a Vounteer Time Sheet before any work can be done. The time sheet will be part of a packet with maps of the locations where we would like the trees cut. These packets must be picked up at the Price Division of Wildlife office. (319 N Carbonville Road)
We have been working on this project for three years and it will be an ongoing project in the future. The majority of the large trees have been cut down and now we are consentrating on the 1 to 3 foot trees that are sprouting up. Two extra hours will be given for the use of your pruners and or chain saw per time sheet. The small trees are easier to cut with large limb pruners rather than a chain saw.
Photo's must be taken of the area being cut before you start cutting and after you finsih cutting. Photo's must be submitted by printing out, or sent by email.
