Corrections to the guidebook
  • Youth General Any Bull Elk boundary: There was an error in the online boundary description for the Youth General Any Bull Elk hunt. The boundary should read:

All general any bull elk units, specifically: Beaver, West; Box Elder, Hansel Mtn; Cache, East Rich; Chalk Creek; East Canyon; Fillmore, Oak Creek; Henry Mtns; Kamas; Morgan-South Rich; Nine Mile, Range Creek; North Slope, Summit/West Daggett; Ogden; Pine Valley; San Juan, Montezuma Canyon; San Rafael, North; South Slope, Bonanza/Vernal/Yellowstone; West Desert, East; and Zion.
  • Page 18: There was an error in the dates provided in which a hunter with a general-season archery elk permit may use archery equipment to take a branch-antlered bull on the Wasatch Front extended archery area. Hunters may harvest a branch-antlered bull on the Wasatch Front extended archery area from Aug. 16–Sept. 12, 2014.
Clarifications
  • Page 11: A youth who has a general-season any legal weapon buck deer permit — and who has completed the Extended Archery Ethics Course — may use archery tackle to hunt in the extended archery areas starting Sept. 13, 2014.
