Emergency changes to the guidebook
The emergency changes that appear below address emergency regulation changes that occurred after the printing of the guidebook.
- EMERGENCY CHANGE: KENS LAKE (Grand County)
- The daily bag and possession limit has been increased to 8 trout. This change is effective September 17, 2009 and will remain in effect until January 1, 2010.
- EMERGENCY CHANGE: NAVAJO LAKE (Kane County)
- The daily bag and possession limit has been increased to 8 rainbow trout with no size restriction. This change is effective September 17, 2009 and will remain in effect until January 1, 2010.
- EMERGENCY CHANGE Page 17: BEAVER CREEK (San Juan County)
- Artificial flies and lures only. Closed to the possession of cutthroat trout.
- Recent genetic testing of trout in Beaver Creek indicates that this stream contains a pure greenback cutthroat trout population. Because greenbacks are currently listed as a "threatened species" under the Federal Endangered Species Act of 1973, fishing can only be allowed on a catch-and-release basis. This change is effective May 1, 2009 and will remain in effect until January 1, 2010.
- RULE CHANGE Page 20: FISH LAKE (Sevier County)
- At the May 7 Utah Wildlife Board meeting in Salt Lake City, board members closed Fish Lake to underwater spearfishing from Sept. 16 through Nov. 30. The spearfishing season at Fish Lake begins June 2 and ends Sept. 15.
- EMERGENCY CHANGE Page 22: HONEYVILLE PONDS (Cold Springs Lake) (Box Elder County)
- CLOSED January 1 through 6 a.m. May 23 (Saturday).
- EMERGENCY CHANGE Page 27: RAINBOW RESERVOIR (San Juan County — Deseret Chemical Depot)
