Dear Brine Shrimp Harvester

Sampling runs on the south arm of Great Salt Lake were conducted on January 23 and 24, 2012. Enumeration and analysis of the samples are complete and indicate the following values, presented in number per liter of lake water:

• Cysts: 33.77
• Nauplii: 0.00
• Juveniles: 0.00
• Males: 0.00
• Total females: 0.00
• Females: 0.00
• Females with eggs/naups: 0.00
• Females with cysts: 0.00

As a result, the harvest season will resume at noon on Friday, January 27, 2012.

The cumulative harvest poundage totals through harvest day January 24, 2012 are:

• Lake: 11,826,039
• Shore: 6,173,240
• Salt ponds: 260,080
• Total: 18,259,359
