Youth between 12 and 16 years old may enter the 2011 Youth Waterfowl Hunt Contest.
Why I want to be a Utah waterfowler
HAVE YOU EVER DREAMED of watching the ducks lift off the water at dawn? Dreamed of hearing the splash of a lab retrieve after you have made a perfect shot on a drake pintail in the marsh? Well now is your chance to have the waterfowl hunt of your dreams! A special individually mentored youth-only waterfowl hunt will be held by the Utah Conservation Officers Association and the Utah Waterfowl Association on Utah’s statewide youth waterfowl hunting day held on September 17, 2011.
Youth hunters will be guided on an exclusive opportunity where they will be taught duck identification, shooting tips, and provided an amazing opportunity at waterfowl hunting with some of Utah most avid and dedicated sportsmen. This hunt will be based out of the Farmington Bay Waterfowl Management Area in Davis County.
