Rules and regulations
Utah's Wildlife Administrative Rules are passed by the Utah Wildlife Board.
The board meets regularly to review and modify the wildlife administrative rules in order to meet the changing needs of Utah's wildlife. Before board members make changes to wildlife rules, they listen to recommendations from Division biologists. They also receive input from the public and various interest groups via the regional advisory council (RAC) process.
The seven board members are appointed by the governor and serve six-year terms. Board members are not Division employees. The Division's director serves as the board's executive secretary, but does not have a vote on wildlife policies.
