A successful 2011 mentored youth waterfowl hunter.

Sign up for a chance to hunt with Utah's most experienced waterfowl hunters and Utah Division of Wildlife Resources conservation officers.

A special youth-only mentored waterfowl hunt will be conducted by the Utah Waterfowl Association and the Utah Conservation Officers Association on the morning of Utah's statewide youth waterfowl hunting day on September 22, 2012. Mentoring guides will take new hunters out hunting and will provide instruction. The hunts will be conducted at various locations in the Davis and Weber County area.

All applicants will be entered into a random drawing and will be contacted if successfully drawn. The following rules apply:

• Participants must be at least 12 years old, and no older than 15 years, on September 22, 2012.
• Participants must provide their own ammunition, shotgun, license, waders, hunting license, and basic personal hunting gear on the day of the hunt.
• A guide, decoys and other pertinent gear will be provided.
• Participants must bring a parent or legal guardian to accompany them on the hunt.
• All participants will be required to sign a liability waiver.

A post hunt lunch will be served at the Farmington Bay Waterfowl Management Area Learning Center from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided by Widow Maker boats.
