Buck deer illegally killed, abandoned on Hwy 6

SOUTHEASTERN UTAH — On December 3, 2011, conservation officers with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources received a UTiP Hotline call regarding an illegally killed buck deer. The animal had been located along Highway 6 just south of mile marker 272, close to the Grassy Ranch.

Conservation officers responded to the scene and determined that the animal had been killed a day or two prior. The animal's head had been removed and the remainder of the carcass abandoned to waste.

Conservation officers are seeking information regarding this case. Monetary rewards are available and requests for confidentiality will be honored.
