RICH COUNTY — Conservation officers with The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources are looking for information related to the shooting of a bull moose in the Sweetwater Association near Garden City, Rich County.
The bull moose was shot near the intersection of S Serviceberry and S Snowberry on the evening of Sept. 27, 2012. A witness observed a male subject, dressed in camouflage, shooting the bull moose using a recurve or traditional bow. The hunter shot the bull moose at least twice and then left the area leaving the injured bull moose behind. Conservation officers recovered two of the arrows which were used to kill the bull moose. The arrows are made of cedar and have white and yellow fletchings.
Officers need your help in identifying the person(s) responsible for this crime. Individuals with information are encouraged to call the Utah Division of Wildlife Turn-in-a- Poacher (UTiP) hotline at 1-800-662-3337. Rewards are available for information that leads to the successful prosecution of those responsible.
