Goose Festival starts Feb. 19, 2010

You can see thousands of pure white snow and Ross' geese lifting off Gunnison Bend Reservoir on Feb. 19, 20 and 21 at the annual Utah Snow Goose Festival. The festival will be held at and near Gunnison Bend Reservoir, just west of Delta. Admission is free.

Apply for a 2010 big game permit

Starting Feb. 1, you can apply for a permit to hunt big game animals in 2010. Your application must be received through the Web site no later than 11 p.m. on March 1 to be entered in the draw for permits. If you're not going to hunt in 2010, you can still apply for a bonus point or a preference point.
